Playlist presents the future of radio: connectivity, innovation, and artificial intelligence in action

Playlist Software Solutions ended 2025 showing what's coming next in radio. With new solutions that combine automation, mobility, and artificial intelligence, the company presented a set of tools at AGERT and the ASSERPE Meeting that connect studios, reporters, and listeners, pointing the way to the future of broadcasting.

Recife (PE) / Canela (RS), November, 2025

Playlist Software Solutions ends the year reaffirming its position as a benchmark in technology for Latin American broadcasting. After attending the two main industry events, the 27th Gaucho Radio, Television, and Communication Congress – AGERT in Canela (RS) and the ASSERPE 2025 Meeting – Radio and TV in the 4.0 Era, in Recife (PE), the company presented a new generation of solutions that combine automation, mobility, and engagement, pointing to a new decade of digital transformation in radio.

AGERT (October 26 to October 28): The South in tune with the future

In Canela (RS), the 27th Gaucho Radio, Television, and Communication Congress presented an intense agenda on innovation, the market, and media policies, reaffirming the South’s leading role in the development of broadcasting. The panel “Artificial Intelligence in Practice: how broadcasters are saving time, gaining audience and making money” summed up the spirit of the meeting: technology and creativity side by side.

Playlist was among the main exhibitors, highlighting its new and key products, such as: Aires Codec, Audie, Tocou 2.0, Planner, Smart Manager 2.0, and Playlist Digital in technical demonstrations that attracted managers and engineers from the southern region. Discussions on the convergence between radio, video, and digital platforms reinforced the company’s commitment to more connected, modern, and sustainable broadcasting.

Innovation that connects studios, reporters, and audiences

The highlight of the AGERT Congress was the new version of Playlist Digital, which was launched last November. With an improved look, the software brings important innovations such as the new radio network control panel; new QuickStart panel features with the option of inserting a quickstart directly into the programming; and the new streaming reception feature, which allows a streaming to be inserted into the programming panel to be displayed.

Another highlight was Aires Codec, independent software created to revolutionize live broadcasts between studios and reporters. With stable, reliable audio and extremely low latency, Aires Codec is ideal for those seeking mobility without giving up the physical console, offering freedom and precision in any journalistic or sports coverage.

With them, Playlist has consolidated an ecosystem that covers the broadcaster’s entire flow:

  • Smart Manager 2.0, the software has been improved and now has a new billing feature in compliance with the new tax rules, issuing NF 62 (Electronic Communication Services Invoice, model 62), in addition to issuing bank slips from the main national banks;

  • Planner, a 100% cloud-based commercial system that organizes contracts and insertions and offers an analytical dashboard with important information for commercial management;

  • Audie, a platform that brings listeners and radio stations together with a mobile app and audience reports;

  • And the new Tocou 2.0, completely redesigned and more intuitive, now includes all reports from Logger Manager, including the ECAD report (Brazil’s Central Office for the Collection and Distribution of Music Copyrights). This allows users to generate proof-of-play reports from anywhere, at any time.

With this product portfolio, Playlist maintains its position at the forefront of software development that promotes agile, intelligent, and sustainable experiences for radio stations.

ASSERPE Meeting (October 30 and 31): The Northeast as a showcase for the new era of broadcasting

Held at the Recife Expo Center, the ASSERPE 2025 Meeting consolidated the Northeast as a strategic hub for innovation in the sector. With the theme “Radio and TV in the 4.0 Era,” the event brought together leaders in communication, universities, and technology professionals to discuss generative AI, automation, streaming, and hybrid monetization models.

Workshop Convergence in Action: The future of radio in the 4.0 era

During the ASSERPE Meeting, expert Marcello Costa presented the workshop “Convergence in action: connected studios, continuous operation, measurable audience,” with live demonstrations of the latest features in Playlist Digital, Aires Codec and Audie, as well as revealing what’s coming next: Aires Studio 2.0, the new Playlist Digital, and the company’s most ambitious venture: Playlist AIR, an artificial intelligence developed exclusively for radio stations.

"In our view, Playlist AIR will progressively integrate AI solutions into the brand's main products starting in 2026, automating tasks, accelerating operational flows, assisting in data analysis, and offering intelligent support to radio stations."

Workshop participants witnessed a live demonstration of some of this new technology and its positive impact, which promises to redefine the concept of productivity and creativity in broadcasters.

What's Coming in 2026

Playlist is preparing for a new cycle with Aires Studio 2.0, the new Playlist Digital, and Playlist AIR, which usher in a phase in which automation, intelligence, and the cloud come together to offer its customers a more creative, flexible operation and a radio station without borders.
