Radio took center stage

SET Expo 2026 has come to a close, and radio took center stage. Over the course of four days at the Anhembi District in São Paulo, Booth 18 welcomed customers, partners, and broadcasting professionals to get an up-close look at Playlist’s latest innovations at an event focused on topics such as IP & Cloud, TV 3.0, Virtual Production, and Artificial Intelligence.

With a large number of innovations, Marcello Costa, the company’s director, summed up the atmosphere at the booth:

We're here at SET Expo 2026, showcasing our latest offerings, and I'm impressed by how many new products we have for Playlist this year.

What's Already On the Air

Some of the new features are already available to broadcasters. Audie, an audience engagement platform. New sections were presented live at the booth, including the Analytics area, which provides a clear view of listener behavior. There were also demonstrations of the automated sweepstakes feature for the station’s own audience and the exclusive app for customers who sign up for Audie, all with a level of customization that’s easy to manage, so that each radio station can tailor the experience for its audience.

Alongside it, Planner handles commercial and programming management in the cloud, demonstrating how radio operations can be conducted from anywhere.

What's Coming Up

The coming months will bring two highly anticipated updates. Aires Studio is getting a new version, with expanded support for using channels across multiple video monitors and new features that will offer greater flexibility and make operation more convenient. And the company’s flagship product is getting a makeover: a new Playlist Digital, which is lighter, more dynamic, and more efficient, with new features designed exclusively for the broadcaster’s day-to-day operations. Both will be released over the next few months.

What We're Exploring

SET Expo is also the venue where Playlist puts prototypes to the test, side by side with the client. At this year’s event, the company showcased experiments in artificial intelligence applied to radio, such as self-service and song requests and new programming features.

The goal was to listen to the audience and understand which paths make sense for the industry, with AI working to boost the productivity of those who make radio happen.

The conversations at the booth, the live demonstrations, and the exchanges with customers and partners continue to fuel the development of technology tailored to the realities of broadcasters.

Since 1995, Playlist Solutions, a market leader, has connected more than 2,500 broadcasters in more than 15 countries.
